This kingpin class is an in-depth study of all
the important metrics of a profitable Service Department. There
will be a thorough examination of the utilization of the available
hours and learning how to make more effective use of these hours. These
then all lead to the ultimate goal of improving operational profit,
net profit and EBIT. At the conclusion of the class students
will be familiar with and understand terms such as revenue recovery,
technician efficiency, productivity, margin calculations, wage multiples,
overtime costs and many more. The importance of Work-In-Process
and the value of back-office functions will be studied. Centralized
warranty processing, profitability and monitoring controls will also
be addressed. Students will also be prepared to analyze their
departments to become better managers through a better understanding
of the forces that drive the metrics.
